The Mississippi Chorus reaches across central Mississippi and beyond to deliver excellence in choral music. We are a community united by a love for singing a full repertoire of choral masterworks for our audiences and we would love for you to join us!

  • Joining the Grande Chorus is as easy as filling out the online registration form below and joining us at rehearsal. It’s that simple.

    You will be met by a section representative who will introduce you to fellow choristers – we want you to feel at home!

    Please arrive at least 30 minutes early your first time.

  • ST. COLUMB’S EPISCOPAL CHURCH FELLOWSHIP HALL

    550 Sunnybrook Road, Ridgeland, MS 39157

    Monday evenings 7:00 pm–9:00 pm. All rehearsals begin promptly. Please arrive at least 30 minutes early your first time.

    Faithful rehearsal attendance is the only way the ensembles of The Mississippi Chorus can succeed. While 100% attendance is the goal, 75% attendance is required to participate in the performances. If for some reason you need to ask for an exception to be made, you are asked to contact the Artistic Director.

    Dress rehearsals are held the night prior to the concert date at the performance site unless otherwise announced. Attendance at all dress rehearsals is required.

  • Costs are established per season. Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer Scholarships are available. Email the Executive Director at exdir@mschorus.org with scholarship inquiries.

    MEMBER DUES – $100 for the season ($60 per semester if paying separately)

    MUSIC FOLDER – $35 for the required, official Mississippi Chorus concert folder.

  • WOMEN – Black concert top (cost: approximately $35), long black skirt or black pants, and closed-toe black shoes.

    MEN – Black tuxedo (no tails), white wing-tip collar shirt, black tie, black cummerbund, black socks, and black dress shoes. Black studs in button holes of the visible portion of shirt and matching (with studs) black or gold cuff links.

THE GRANDE CHORUS

Membership is open to singers age 18 and older. Previous choral experience is helpful but not required. We do require basic music knowledge, a voice that blends with others, a good music memory, and a love of choral music!

We also welcome non-singing members who volunteer and support our organization’s many technical and administrative tasks.
