The Mississippi Chorus presents Printemps: Featuring Duruflé’s Requiem, an evening of elegant and expressive French choral music inspired by the beauty of spring.
At the heart of the program is Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem, one of the most beloved choral works of the 20th century. Known for its serene and transcendent character, the Requiem weaves together Gregorian chant and rich, impressionistic harmonies to create a deeply moving musical experience.
The program also includes Duruflé’s Four Motets, a set of intimate and luminous works that highlight the clarity and warmth of the human voice.
